Considered by many one of the best hostels in Europe (even..dare I say it... the world?), the Lisbon Old Town Hostel will not let you down. Trust me.
João and his Dad will treat you well. You get free breakfast, free Internet, a few common rooms with music, TV, DVDs and chess. What else can you ask for? Alcohol, you say? Fear not, beer is served at 1€ a can :)
And if you are one of the lucky ones, you will get to go out with João and his beautiful friends - don't be shy, ask João where to go at night and he will surely tour you around (or get one of his friends to!) :)

Excellent and up-to-date site. Various postings "a la craigslist\loquo" are inserted daily by mostly students. Easy, simple, straight to the point and you can directly contact the owner as well. It is in English and prices seem quite cheap...

One of the biggest online and offline message boards in Portugal. Correio da Manhã's classifieds site is only in Portuguese, but quick and straight to the point. All offers are in Portuguese, some include prices and all include contact information.

Advertisements for apartments to rent in Lisbon. Prices range very much - students can use it as well as tourists. The site isn't dedicated at any specific group of people, but can be useful for students. Many postings are accompanied by photos and information - you can contact the landlord directly as well.

This is a student residency in Lisbon. They are located in two different places: Av. da República and Av. de Berna. Prices range from 225 euros to 300 euros - all with connection to the Internet and the rooms seem to be comfortable enough for student accommodation in Lisbon. Look at their website for more details - the site is only available in Portuguese, though.
